club soda for stainless steel sinks?

Have you heard of using vinegar to rid a sink of spots and then club soda to get it glistening? I've never used club soda on my sink, but I'm going to give it a try.

I've never heard of using club soda for this, but next time I'm at the store, I will buy some and test. :)
