View Full Version : was reading on cleaning blenders
I'm sure tons of people do this, but I haven't. lol I plan to use this tip for my smoothie maker. (yes. Gabe bought me a smoothie maker) lol Anyway it's a pain in the butt to wash, but I was reading to put hot water and your dish liquid into the "blender" and turn it on to clean it. I want to try it, but think it'll end up one of those good ideas in concept, but I wonder if I'll have a bubble explosion in the kitchen. lol

Sara ,
I clean mine with Vinear and WARM water, if you do it fairly quickyly after using it cleans pretty good :)
Hot water WILL froth up when added to dish soap and I think the vinegar cleans & deoderises very well, so I leave out the soap.
I have been doing this for years.

I'm always afraid to use soap in things like a blender, although I don't have one right now. I'm always afraid of the soapy smell afterwards. When I did have a blender, I always just used very hot water.

I've cleaned it this way for a while now. Just don't add too much soap, and you should be fine ;)
