DH and I were gifted a pair of lamps from my in-laws. They're a bright green map with tall, white, cylinder shaped lampshades. After two days, I decided that I could not live the with lampshades. We went to Linens N Things and had a blast. We brought one of the lamps with us, and unplugged one of their display lamps, and turned ours on. We probably spent half an hour giggling over lampshades that we absurdly big, small, or just totally did not match (talk about a cheap date night!). We ended up with tan faux leather shades, squarish, that taper at the top. And wow do they look awesome! Just had to share my latest find.
