Are you proud of the way your home looks?

I was thinking about this today. I just did some re-decorating, actually it's been a work in progress for a while now but I'm really proud of my home. It had been a good while since I had done anything until we began the room by room extreme makeover so I was really not feeling so proud then. I was sick of the 80's colors and oh that blue carpet was making me gag. It was 12 years old and I usually love old things but not that stuff. :lol:

Lisa, I love my home and I'm proud of the work we've done in it and all the work has been done by us. I'm not happy we haven't finished the re-decorating yet. That will start this fall and get mostly done this winter.

I'll tell you after we move someplace new. We are getting rid of this old house and looking for some place smaller, healthier and more managable.

I'm ok with my home as a work in progress - I've made some changes over the last year and I'm really pleased with those, although it still has a long way to go. I've got the bedroom almost the way I want it and the main bathroom. I have also decluttered a lot of the living room and put in a new bookcase.

umm no. LOL It's a decorating disaster. Just see 3 samples of wallpaper I just posted to the gallery. Hopefully it will change in the future. For now it's something to aspire to. ;)

I like some things about my home. I don't like the outdated walpaper & old carpet. Love the cozy feel and the outdoors best.

I'm trying to learn to be content with the home I'm in, but the truth is, I'm not. The place is falling apart, and we can't afford to move. To say that I'm stressed is an understatement, LOL.

I will say, though, that I usually feel the best about my home when I have everything clean and the windows are open, letting in some nice fresh air. Clean, fresh air, scented candles burning, and fresh flowers in a vase. Those are some little touches that make me proud of my home.
