Does your dog sleep with you?

Mine does, he sleeps on my side down by my feet. :)

They start out on the bed but most night they jump down in the middle of the night

nope he sleeps in a crate downstairs. he used to sleep on a dog bed downstairs but he kept getting up on the couch and sleeping there. he's a beagle so not the biggest of dogs. well one day he caught his hind leg on the sofa when trying to jump off and aggrevated an old injury so teh vet said he needs to sleep in a crate at night and he has to go in it when we aren't home. vet didn't want him causing permanant damage to his leg or hip. he's got a good sized crate though, he can stretch out in it.

Just like you Baxjul, mine sleeps with me on my side, and down by my feet too. :)

Ours sleeps in a crate beside our bed. I had a poodle when Gripey and I first married and she slept with us (I'd had her for about 6 yrs. when we married and she always slept at the foot of my bed). I awoke on night and found Gripey had turned over on her and had her just about suffocated! Scared me to death. He had no idea......:lol:

My dog used to sleep with me, but dh has allergies, so now he is lucky to get in the house at all. If he is inside, he sleeps on the floor at the foot of the bed, or on the floor on my side of the bed. My dh would forget he was there occasionally and trip over him, so he learned to stay on Mommy's side where it was safe. ;)

When she was a puppy and when we had our other bed (that she could jump up on ) she would sleep with us. And then when we moved and didn't have our bed frame with us she started sleeping with us again. She doesn't sleep in our bed anymore (can't get into it for one thing...lol) but she does sleep at the foot of it and most of the time stays there all night from when we go to bed until we get up in the morning.
