Kids Savings

Well, filing for bankruptcy was supposed to make things easier. But of course DHs car needed urgent repair to the tune of $700. So now we have to hit the kids savings accounts to cover it. I feel like a real slug. I guess I should be glad it is there, but I felt a little better when they at least had money.

Glad you were able to pay for the repair. You need a running vehicle.

I know it sucks...but you can only beat yourself up so much before you have to just be glad it was there. Use it as one of those learning experiences.

it really stinks having to use it, but at least it was there and you didn't have to borrow money from some one or use credit. try to save some money to repay the savings accounts as you can even if it's a ways down the road. right now you need to get through all of this with the bankruptcy and such. when you guys are on your feet, you can replace it. don't be too hard on yourself. we've been there before ourselves. after things settled down and the budget got reworked, we were able to put back the money we had to use from dks savings.
