This happens quite often with us. We lose things. Example...We lost a soccer ball. I really don't know how we could have lost it when it's in the trunk when we go to the park or it's in a tote when we're home. It was missing, so we bought a new one. The lost one has yet to resurface.

We also lost a plastic bat. Again, it's kept with the t-ball stand and I really couldn't figure out where the bat could be. I hunted high and low and couldn't find it. I went and got a new bat for the kids tonight and don't I find the missing bat? Now I wonder when the ole missing soccer ball will turn up.

It's just crazy because these aren't small items like a set of keys. lol

Sara your not the only one. When dh was working a couple weeks ago painting a kitchen for a lady, she lost her door handles (all of them). She went out and spent $150 on new ones and when she was putting all her stuff back in her kitchen cupboards, she found the old ones. :D

Michael is always putting things away here and we can never find them. We usually end up buying new and then find it weeks later. He is a neat freak that kid!!

Just this week, we found Ryan's basketball that had been missing for probably a year. It was in the woods. Now we are looking for the blue ball that's been missing for about 2 months. We loose lots of things here and they are usually the big things. Last weekend it was one of the attachments for the vac and I was the one that lost it. Luckily Mel found it put up with the other attachments. But I had already looked there and couldn't find it. LOL :o

Okay girls, I lose my keys EVERY morning and it sends me into this awful mood. Everyine here in the house just takes it in stride, here goes Mom again, but it just erks me! The kids are always taking my keys to get into the car for something that they lost or the garage then they throw them on the couch and they go under a cushion or something. But I lose other things too, like the ear piece for my phone! Of course I do find these things just like you said, after I purchase a new one.

I don't lose much but others seem to. One of my handy talents is finding things. Don't know why but I'm good at it, but I am, lol.

Well, personally I want to know where those 22 pacis are! I mean DD#2 has had at least 22 pacis and now she only has 2. Where do they go??? I know she doesn't eat them. They must go where the "other" sock goes.

I am convinced we have a gremlin in our house. Stuff will disappear and then reappear exactly where I have looked for it 6 times! Weird.

You've probably been given lots of advice on how to keep track of your keys, buuuutttt in case you haven't heard this one....... my mother lost her keys all the time. We finally put a cup hook on the inside of a cabinet in the kitchen. The keys were to be hung there when not in use. It worked very well, and that says a lot for my poor mom who misplaces everything.

Another hint: I have small brass bells on my keys that I put there when I was in college (a hundred years ago). It helped me locate them when I had laid them on my desk and they got covered with papers or books. I would just give the desk a pat down and usually they could be found. Now if I can't find them in the depths of my purse I just shake my purse to see if they are really there. Of course this doesn't help me always put them in my purse, but it has come in handy finding them!

There is one item that I have lost, and I have reason to believe that there was a conspircy to hide it from me.....lol

I bought Paige a one piece outfit from the Dale Jarrett Superstore when I went home shortly after she was born. Family likes DJ as a person, but not as a racer (they are Chevy people), Hubby just doesn't like racing.

One of these day's I will find it (hopefully before she outgrows it....lol)

I am a hibital loser of things.... I am not kidding...some times they turn up and some things never do. I have lost really important things like jewerly (which breaks my heart) down to really silly stuff. Since ds was born, we have lost a hat, two toys, and unknown pacies of his. This is one flaw that really gets my dh, i can't blame him; I get so mad at myself sometimes for losing things.

I rarely lose anything. It's a good thing too....I'm the type of person that will have a meltdown over something lost. I can pretty much always find just about anything that someone else loses....guess you and I have that in common Darlene... . But it's katie bar the door when I really and truly lose something......

i lose stuff all the time. keys, shoes, brain, etc. but how come everyone expects me in know where their stuff is? the kids always ask me where their shoes are.

you know i think everything has gone to a great big pile. sometimes things come back from the pile, like the basketball in the woods, but everything else just stays in the pile. when we die, we get everything back :D this is the george carlin theory of lost items.
when you lose your car keys, remember to look in the freezer behind the frozen banana guacamole! ;)

Oh my this is my house! "Mommy? Where are my sandals?" "Mommy, where is my paci?" "Mommy, where is my book bag?" Even Dh asks me where stuff is. My response is "I don't know, it's not mine and I didn't use it last!" ;)
