When I make a bed, I put the top flat sheet print down so that it looks upside down from the top, tht way when you open the bed, you see the two prints face to face. Is that the way you do yours? My dh thought I was nuts and used to laugh. When I went to my daughter's house, she put hers on what seems like upside down to me???
The thread of the perfectly made bed made me wonder how you guys do yours.
Same as you Robin ;) It's just the way I was taught by mom! :D
I'm the other way. It figures! I've never known any way but both prints sides pointing up.

I do it the same way. I like it too that when I fold over the top hem of the sheet over the blankets the rough edge is against the blankets & not face up where it bothers me. :)

Pat I'm with you. I've never seen or heard it done the way Robin does.

Definitely print side down. It's the only way I've ever known. :D

Print side up here. I didn't know people did it any other way until I spent the night at my future mother-in-law's house. :)

Print side up here, but mine shows when I make my bed. I like to show the top sheet and then the duvet.
I do seem to remember a "dear abby" question about this though and I think I was wrong . . .

I don't even use top sheets. If we have overnight guests (which is very rare), I'll make up a bed with a top sheet, but for the most part we don't like them here. And I only have solid color sheets.
How's that for being a rebel? ;)
I like the extra layer during winter, but often won't use them either. Right now only Ally's bed has a flat sheet. I'll probably add them again before the inlaws visit. This is a recent thing for me. Years ago, I wouldn't have ever gone without sheets. It seemed strange, but now it makes life easier.

It makes it so much easier for the kids to just pull up their comforters (and a blanket if they're using them) vs. making their beds every morning.
I will need to give them a refresher course on how to make a bed though since we don't use top sheets. I don't want them going off into the world not knowing how to do that, and I think I've only shown them once or twice.
