Hopefully I won't sound like a total weirdo, but does anyone else go through a ton of baking pans? Is it because I purchase cheaper pans or why can't I seem to care and keep baking pans for long? I either scrape them or they start to rust out from soaking in the sink or they warp. :(
Can anyone suggest some decent baking pans?

I haven't found any yet that don't get scratched easily. I bought a new cake pan just before Christmas and already I threw it out. The "coating" was all coming off.

I purchase most of mine from Canadian Tire and once they are scratched up I throw them out and buy new ones. Not too frugal I know, however I don't like burnt or scratched baking pans.

The only area I do have pans that have stayed around forever are my bread pans.

I like Wilton muffin pans and pans by Chicago Metallic. When I'm thinking of buying a new pan I often look at Cooking.com site to see what got good ratings there. Ususally the professional and commercial pans give you good preformance.
The Wilton muffin pans I got from Walmart are doing great.

Must be I don't bake enough! I've had the same pans for years! BUT, I don't enjoy baking, so I try not to! I would rather make a full course dinner every night than to make cookies!

One tip on keeping your cookie sheets from scorching.....don't ever use them to cook any type of meat on in your oven. The juices from the meats will cause cookies to stick. I learned this by doing it wrong...and had a friend who is a fabulous cook (and frugal to boot!) tell me so. I've been very careful about it every since and it does really help them to last longer.

Another vote for Chicago Metallic. I bought mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I still buy the cheap baking pans from walmart and I have found that not letting them sit in the dishwater prolongs the life of the pan too!
